A Hill Country Gathering Place on Onion Creek in Driftwood
Drift Out West Where the City Ends and the West Begins
Drift Out West is an 11-acre gathering place on Onion Creek in Driftwood, Texas, made for people to connect with each other, with nature, and with the slower rhythm of the Hill Country. It hosts retreats, garden parties, weddings, private events, and celebrations both intimate and expansive. Days here follow the land with a creek-side walk, time in the gardens, a cool-off in the cowboy pool, and a long supper under the shade trees. Most evenings end on the sweeping covered porch, watching the sun go down. About 20 minutes from Austin, Drift Out West sits near wineries, natural swimming holes, the Salt Lick and Dripping Springs.
Drift Out West is open to visitors several days each week and hosts seasonal garden parties, harvest days, and small group experiences throughout the year. Some days are quiet and self-guided. Others are lively and communal.

Living Hill Country Landscape
Where Austin begins to give way to the Hill Country and the Edwards Plateau, Drift Out West is shaped by limestone terrain, the riparian corridor of Onion Creek, groves of oak and cedar elm, pollinator gardens, wildflower fields, a wildlife pond, a creek-side trail, and open places for gathering under the trees. Designed and built by the landscape architects at ADLA Studio, the property continues to evolve as a living Central Texas landscape through planting, habitat restoration, and care measured in seasons and years.
